When it comes to what we’ll be wearing next spring, the fashion world has taken a sensible pill in terms of putting greater emphasis on more transitional, less season-dependant outfits, such as a classic white shirt dress. Next season also sees the reworking of current pieces in our closets such as the jumpsuit, boyfriend blazer and biker jacket. More versatile neutral palettes in pinky beiges and bluey-greens take the place of bolder, stronger colors, helping to blend in with our current wardrobe.
Fashion for Spring 2010 however, is not without its quirky (and sexy) side, with shorter-than-short shorts (aka hotpants), bubble-hem skirts, and over-the-knee socks (layered over panty hose?) which provide one of the defining looks of the season.
Many designer collections have reflected the current downturn in the economy by meeting the demand from cost-conscious consumers for more seasonless outfits and colors.
